Luís Fernando Negrão

Luís Fernando Negrão has worked in various roles since 2012. Luís Fernando began their career as an Operations Intern at Zocprint, where they later became the Chief Operating Officer. In 2012, they were a founding team member of Rocket Internet SE's Brazilian printing service platform/e-commerce, Zocprint, as the COO & CPO. Luís Fernando then moved to Provu in 2015, where they held three different positions: Business Unit Director (Personal Loans), Chief Product Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. In 2022, they became a Partner (Investing Business Unit) at QI Tech. During their time at Provu, they were responsible for the Personal Loans business unit's P&L and led the reduction of operational costs by R$750K/month without the use of layoffs, as well as reducing first payment default rates by ~79%. Luís Fernando also restructured the product/IT team workflow from single pipeline/roadmap into multiple squads, and was responsible for Provu's product roadmap definition and management. At Zocprint, they ran and led the operations department, achieved an average of 20% COGS-revenue ratio with production suppliers, and structured the pre-production department.

Luís Fernando Negrão completed their high school education at Humboldt Schule from 2004 to 2006. Luís Fernando then earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa between 2008 and 2012. In addition, Negrão has obtained various certifications, including an Introduction to Computer Science and Programming from edX in September 2012, an Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark from edX in June 2015, a Management 3.0 Foundation Workshop from Agile School in February 2019, and a Probability - The Science of Uncertainty and Data from MITx on edX in December 2020. Negrão is currently enrolled in a MicroMaster program in Statistics at MITx Courses, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
