Gayan Mendis

Gayan Mendis has extensive work experience in the finance and investments industry. Gayan currently serves as the General Manager of Finance and Investments at QIC, a global diversified alternatives business. In this role, Gayan leads and strategically partners with high-performing teams to deliver consistently superior outcomes for institutional investors. Prior to joining QIC, Gayan worked at KPMG Australia as a Manager for seven years. At KPMG, they utilized their deep expertise and client-centered focus to assist renowned companies in solving complex challenges, driving change, disrupting sectors, and promoting growth.

Gayan Mendis has a diverse education history. In 2000, they completed their Senior Certificate at Brisbane State High School. Following that, from 2005 to 2008, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Professional) and Business Management at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). In 2016, Gayan obtained the Chartered Accountant (CA) certification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand through the CA Program. Currently, Gayan is a Level I Candidate in the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Program at the CFA Institute, with an anticipated completion date of 2023. Moreover, they are also attending the Australian Institute of Company Directors, where they are pursuing the AAICD (Australian Institute of Company Directors) qualification through the Company Directors Course, which is expected to be completed by 2022. Finally, starting in 2022, Gayan plans to become a Fellow (FTI) at The Tax Institute, which marks the next step in their educational journey.
