Philip Jackson has a diverse range of work experience, primarily focused on human resources. Philip started their career as a Business Manager at Quikshade Australia Pty Ltd, where they managed sales and manufacturing operations. Philip then worked as a State Human Resources Officer at Life Without Barriers, overseeing HR processes for multiple regions in Queensland. Following this, they joined Australasian Talent Company/ATC Recruitment as a Team Assistant.

In 2010, Philip transitioned to the hospitality industry and joined Jumeirah Group/Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts. Philip held various positions during their time there, including Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Executive, Human Resources Advisor, and eventually Human Resources Manager for Europe. In these roles, they provided support and advisory services to Jumeirah properties in Europe and the USA.

After their time at Jumeirah, Philip joined QIC as a Human Resources Business Improvement Lead, HR Business Manager & Return to Work Coordinator. Philip later progressed to roles such as Human Resources Business Manager, Assistant Manager - HR Operations, Human Resources Operations Manager, and Human Resources Manager. Philip is currently working as the Head of Diversity and Inclusion at QIC.

In addition to their time at QIC and Jumeirah, Philip also briefly worked at GE as an Employee Human Resources Manager, responsible for Springfield Lakes and Papua New Guinea.

Philip Jackson has a diverse education history. Philip completed a Diploma in HR Management (Intermediate Level) from CIPD Qualifications in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business with a focus on Human Resources from Griffith University between 2003 and 2007. In 2002 and 2003, Philip pursued a Bachelor of Information Technology at Charles Darwin University. Philip recently completed a program on Developing Strategic Thinking and Action at Melbourne Business School, obtaining the certification in April 2023. Additionally, Philip holds several certifications, including being a Member of the Institute of Community Directors Australia since July 2023 and being designated as an ABCN Champion by ABCN in December 2022.
