Iris García

Iris García has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Iris started their career as the owner of Cyber Darkness from September 2003 to November 2006. From December 2006 to March 2009, they worked as a System Administrator at Cementos Balboa. Iris then joined trivago in June 2015 as a DevOps Engineer, where they worked on infrastructure operations and automation, leading a team and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes. Iris also tested new technologies for the company. Iris joined BestSecret in May 2018 as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they focused on implementing CI/CD processes for mobile teams and setting up an on-premise Kubernetes cluster. Iris also worked on a cloud migration project. In May 2019, Iris joined Lightstreams.io as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they designed and implemented infrastructure using Kubernetes and Ansible. Iris also set up CI/CD using Jenkins. From December 2019 to April 2021, they worked at Novatec Software Engineering España as a Senior DevOps Engineer, responsible for building and maintaining a platform for a major client in the automotive sector using Kubernetes and Jenkins. From April 2021 to November 2022, Iris worked at ConsenSys as a Senior DevOps Engineer, deploying private blockchain networks using Hyperledger Besu and using infrastructure as code with Terraform. In October 2022, they joined Qredo as a Blockchain Node Engineer.

Iris García obtained an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Granada, which they completed between 2011 and 2015. Iris also participated in an English Language Immersion Course at Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo in 2013. Prior to their degree, they earned a Certificate of Higher Education in Analysis and Deployment of Computer Applications from IES Bahía de Cádiz, from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Iris García obtained the certification of CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in January 2021.
