Iliana Rosa Serghiou M.sc B.sc (Hons)

Iliana Rosa Serghiou M.Sc B.Sc (Hons) is a dedicated Postdoctoral Research Scientist specializing in bioinformatics at the Quadram Institute since October 2020, focusing on defining foetus-microbiota interactions under the supervision of Professor Lindsay Hall. Previously, Iliana served as a PhD Research Candidate, exploring the development of the infant skin microbiome in collaboration with various institutions. Iliana's background includes significant experience in cancer molecular diagnostics at the University of Cambridge, microbiology testing in food and agricultural settings, and veterinary assistance. Academic qualifications include an ongoing PhD in Microbiology and Molecular Biology from the University of East Anglia, alongside a Master’s in Wild Animal Biology from the Royal Veterinary College and a Bachelor's in Zoo Biology from Nottingham Trent University.
