Ton Luijks

Ton Luijks has extensive work experience spanning several companies. Ton is currently the Director of Operations EMEA and Managing Director at Quaker Houghton since August 2019. Before that, they held the position of EMEA Operations Director/Managing Director at Quaker Chemical BV from January 2019. Ton also worked at AkzoNobel, where they served as a Plant Manager from 2015 to 2017 and as an HSE-Manager and Manager of Environmental and Regulatory Affairs from 2012 to 2014. Ton also worked at Akzo Nobel Chemicals as the Manager of External Affairs from 2007 to 2009. Ton Luijks began their career with AkzoNobel in 1994, holding various roles such as Business Development Manager, Plant Manager, Project Manager, and Senior Process Engineer until 2007. Additionally, they served on the Supervisory Board at Waterschap Noorderzijlvest from 2012 to 2018.

Ton Luijks pursued their education starting from 1983 until 1988 at Delft University of Technology, where they obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering. Ton further enhanced their educational background in 2022 by attending IMD, where they completed the BPSE (Breakthrough Program Senior Executives) course.
