Emily Pennesi

Emily Pennesi is an experienced educator currently serving as a 6th Grade Math Educator at Quaker Valley School District since August 2018. Previously, Emily held the position of 8th Grade Math Educator at Kiski Area Intermediate School as a long-term substitute from August 2017 to June 2018 and was a Math & Science Educator with Pittsburgh Urban Teaching Corps at Propel Schools from May 2015 to June 2017. Early in the career, Emily served as the Girls' Program Director and Activities Coordinator at Sarah Heinz House, focusing on program planning, implementation, and mentorship. Emily's commitment to community service includes participation as an Ally in the Americorps Public Allies program and serving on the board of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Emily holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching from Chatham University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with a Business Certificate from Duquesne University.
