Lucy Howie

Lucy Howie has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Their most recent position was as the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Quan, a software company focused on employee well-being. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Business Development and Operations at Zalando SE, Europe's leading online fashion platform. Lucy also served as the CEO of FuelUp, a technology scouting company, and as a Business Consultant for Enterprise Estonia and Kiwiticker™. Lucy has also held multiple roles at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, including Business Advisor, Director of Missions and Events Centre, and Business Analyst. Additionally, they were a Board Trustee for the Fantail Network, a women's business support organization. Earlier in their career, Lucy worked as an Executive Assistant at Capri UK Investments Ltd.

Lucy Howie's education history starts with their Bachelor's degree in Physical Education - Exercise Science, which they obtained from the University of Otago between 2003 and 2006. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2003, they attended St Hilda's Collegiate School. In 2014 and 2015, Lucy pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. Additionally, in 2022, they briefly attended Y Combinator.

Alongside their formal education, Lucy has obtained several certifications. In 2008, they earned the Employment Law Practitioner Certificate from The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. In 2013, they completed the Lean Fundamentals Level 1C (Green Belt) course at the Lean Enterprise Centre, Cardiff University Business School. Finally, in 2016, they completed the Design Kit: The course for Human Centred Design from IDEO.org.
