Lucy Liu

Lucy Liu has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Most recently, they worked as a Software Engineer at Quansight. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at the Bureau of Meteorology, where they focused on weather model ensemble post-processing in Python. Lucy also worked as a Research Software Engineer at Inria, contributing to the development of the scikit-learn Python package and maintaining Sphinx-Gallery. Additionally, they worked as a Bioinformatician at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, where they developed analysis workflows and guidelines. Lucy also has experience in community development and engagement as a R/RStudio Research Community Coordinator at the University of Melbourne. Lucy Liu's earlier work experience includes roles as a Clinical Research Optometrist and a Staff Optometrist, where they managed complex patients and conducted consultations in Mandarin.

Lucy Liu completed their Bachelor's Degree in Optometry (Hons) from The University of Auckland, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Lucy later pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Biomedical Sciences, General at the University of Melbourne, from 2016 to 2019.
