Andrew Kotila has over seven years of professional experience in the fields of microchip fabrication, process development, and quality control. Andrew began their career in 2012 as a Research Assistant at Gettysburg College. In 2016, they became a Lead Laboratory Project Researcher at San Jose State University, where they proof of concept and analyzed a flow-focusing microfluidic droplet-generating channel. Andrew also optimized photolithography fabrication of thin films for silicon wafers. In 2019, Andrew joined Quantapore Inc. as a Process Development Engineer. In this role, they troubleshooted production line issues related to yield, quality, and throughput. Andrew also constructed and executed controlled experiments to optimize processes, address yield and quality issues, and drive implementation of solutions in a production environment to meet production goals.
Andrew Kotila obtained their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Gettysburg College in 2013. Andrew then went on to pursue a Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering from San Jose State University, which they completed in 2018.
