Sami Albetar

Sami Albetar has a diverse work experience in various industries. Sami began their career as an Administrative Assistant at EIFFAGE, where they gained administrative and organizational skills. Sami then worked as an Intern Analyst Fund of Hedge Funds at BNP Paribas, where they assisted in the investment selection process and analyzed the risks and performances of investment funds.

Following that, Sami worked as a Strategic Equity Derivatives Assistant at BNP Paribas CIB, where they managed customer requests, maintained databases, and supported the sales team in creating pitches. Sami also developed skills in managing relationships with different business lines.

Sami later joined Amundi as a Credit Portfolio Manager Assistant, where they developed models and tools to analyze the credit market and assisted the credit management team in their daily activities. Sami also worked on developing a systematic hedging strategy to reduce the max drawdown of credit funds.

Currently, Sami is working at QuantCube Technology as a Data Scientist/Quantitative Analyst. In their role, they create economic indicators, investment indexes, and ESG indicators using NLP algorithms and techniques. Sami also applies machine learning techniques to develop systematic investment strategies and quantitative models.

In addition to their professional experience, Sami collaborated in an entrepreneurship project called "Envie D'Hair" with the University of Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC). Sami was involved in developing a marketing strategy to attract donors and convince women to cut their hair for a good cause. Sami also worked on finding funding to finance the project.

Sami Albetar began their education in 2015 at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management, focusing on the first and second years of study. In 2017, they continued their education at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Economics, specializing in Financial Engineering. Afterward, Sami pursued a Master's degree in Financial Engineering, with a major in Financial Markets, at the same institution, which they successfully completed in 2021.
