Charles Lee

Charles Lee is a seasoned mentor and investor with extensive experience in the startup ecosystem, particularly in DeepTech and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as a mentor for UC Berkeley startups at Free Ventures, Charles has held investment roles at multiple companies, including Quantified Biology, Alteron Therapeutics, and Atantares Corp. Previously, Charles was a Senior VC Associate at Lair East Labs, focusing on early-stage investments, and worked as a VC Associate at The Wharton School, where responsibilities included sourcing and evaluating Seed and Series A startups. Charles's foundation in education includes a M.S.E. in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning from the University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. in Human Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Charles has experience in education as a Teacher in a Title 1 High School supported by the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative.
