Gemma Croad has a diverse work experience. Gemma currently holds a position as a Senior Interface Engineer at Quantium, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at Ray White from January 2021 to June 2022. Gemma also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Learnosity from September 2020 to December 2020.
In 2015, they joined Finder as a Front-End Developer and later transitioned to the role of Junior Front-End Developer, contributing to various projects such as building and maintaining the Luna design system, creating React.js components, and performing site-wide refreshes for improved user experience. Gemma also worked on accessibility improvements and was involved in a hack day project at Finder.
Before their time at Finder, Gemma attended General Assembly's Web Development Immersive program in 2015. Gemma also served as a Happiness Officer at Finder and was responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment.
Gemma's earlier work experience includes a role as a Business Support Coordinator at Designlogic Australia (DLO) from September 2013 to July 2014.
Gemma Croad has a diverse education background. In 2000 to 2002, they attended Strode College in Somerset, UK, where they studied A/S level Art and Design, A level English Literature, Environmental Science, and Psychology. In 2015, Gemma completed a Web Development Immersive Course at General Assembly. Gemma then pursued further education in 2019, acquiring a Certificate of completion for a 4-module foundation Web Design course from The Graphic Design School. In 2020, they enrolled in the University of South Australia to obtain a Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility. Additionally, Gemma has obtained several certifications, including a Certificate of Accreditation as a Standard Mental Health First Aider from Mental Health First Aid Australia in September 2021, a Professional Certificate in Web Accessibility from the University of South Australia in June 2020, and a Certificate of completion for a 4-module foundation Web Design course from The Graphic Design School in August 2019.
