Kim Truong

Kim Truong has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. From 2021 onwards, they worked as a Senior Engineer at Quantium, where they developed ETL pipelines and gained expertise in Kubernetes and Argo workflows. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, they were a Senior Data Engineer at Datium Insights, focusing on transforming and migrating legacy data repositories using industry best practices.

From 2005 to 2021, Kim held multiple roles at Pickles Auctions, including Data Development Manager, Information Services Delivery Lead, Senior Database Administrator, and Software Developer. Kim played a key role in transforming the company's data platforms and centralizing data in a governed and clean manner.

In addition to their corporate experience, Kim had entrepreneurial ventures as well. Kim co-owned The Diver Cafe from 2017 to 2021 and was a director at GoFinance Pty Limited from 2015 to 2021.

Earlier in their career, Kim worked as a Software Developer at FIS, focusing on the life insurance industry, and as a System Developer at Tacit Group, working on software development projects for Royal and Sun Alliance's managed fund system.

Kim started their career as a Junior Analyst/Programmer at Alcatel, where they worked on Y2K compliance modifications and held roles including Build Manager and Software Tester.

Kim Truong attended Kingsgrove High from 1989 to 1993. Kim then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney from 1994 to 1999. In 2015, they obtained a Diploma in Financial Services with a specialization in Finance/Mortgage Broking from the National Finance Institute.
