Rich Chamberlin has over 30 years of work experience in the field of physics and engineering. Rich is currently employed as a Senior Radio Frequency Engineer at Quantum Circuits, Inc. Since joining in December 2021, they have been responsible for the design and development of radio frequency systems.
Prior to their current role, Rich worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology for 11 years. As a Physicist, they focused on wafer microwave and mm-wave metrology. Rich'sresponsibilities included designing RF, mechanical, and optical hardware for on-wafer mm-wave large signal network analysis (LSNA) using electro-optic sampling. Rich also designed instrumentation for microwave measurements on cryogenic integrated circuits.
Before joining the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Rich served as the Technical Manager at the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory from 1996 to 2010. There, they managed technical operations and contributed to submillimeter astronomy research.
Rich began their career as a Senior Research Associate at Boston University from 1991 to 1996. In this role, they conducted research and collaborated on various projects.
Rich Chamberlin received their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from UC Santa Barbara in 1984. Rich went on to pursue further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Physics in 1991.
