Sitakanta Satapathy

Sitakanta Satapathy has relevant work experience in the field of quantum devices and microfabrication processes. From 2022 onwards, they have been working as a Process Engineer at Quantum Circuits, Inc., where they focus on developing microfabrication processes and characterization techniques for superconducting quantum devices. Sitakanta'sresponsibilities also include enhancing resist and developer chemistry, as well as thin film quality for improved reproducibility and scalability. Additionally, Satapathy is involved in yield engineering and device characterization.

Prior to their current role, Satapathy served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York starting in 2018. In this position, they optimized photonic structures and mid-IR optical gratings using various techniques such as E-beam lithography and ion-beam drilling. Sitakanta also conducted research on the design, fabrication, and spectroscopic characterization of optical microcavities for modifying organic systems. Furthermore, Satapathy worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the same institution's Department of Chemistry, where they analyzed the charge-discharge mechanism in green organic cathodes for lithium and sodium ion batteries. Sitakanta also studied the self-assembly and growth of sustainable oil gel-based adhesives and established structure-property relationships through various characterization methods.

Sitakanta Satapathy pursued their Master's degree in Chemistry from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, from 2009 to 2011. After completing their Master's degree, they furthered their education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Chemistry. This program lasted from 2012 to 2018.
