Firmware Engineer at Quantum Energy Technologies

Kai Shan has a diverse work experience in the engineering field.

From February 2022 to the present, Kai has been working as a Firmware Engineer at Quantum Energy Technologies.

Prior to that, from June 2018 to January 2022, Kai held the role of an Embedded Firmware Engineer at DataCan Services Corporation. In this position, Kai was responsible for designing firmware code, testing and debugging hardware circuits for signal measurement and data acquisition systems. Kai also developed new versions of firmware for memory downhole tools based on client requirements.

From July 2014 to April 2015, Kai worked as a Test Engineer at Shanghai Edrive Co.,Ltd.

Kai started their engineering career as an Embedded Software Developer at Csg Smart Science&Technology Co., Ltd. from February 2012 to April 2014.

Throughout their work experience, Kai has gained hands-on experience in firmware engineering, embedded software development, and testing.

Kai Shan has a strong educational background in electrical engineering. Kai first obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical Information Engineering from Anhui Jianzhu University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Afterward, Kai pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Hefei University of Technology, completing their studies from 2008 to 2011.

Continuing their academic journey, Kai went on to the University of Saskatchewan, where they attained another Master of Science (MSc) degree, this time focusing on Electrical Engineering. Kai studied at the University of Saskatchewan from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their educational achievements, Kai has obtained two certifications as a Professional Engineer. Kai received the first certification from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan in December 2016, and the second certification from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) in September 2018.
