Robert A. Wolkow

Robert Wolkow holds the position of iCORE Chair in Nanoscale Information and Communications Technology and Professor at the University of Alberta since 2003. Currently, Robert serves as Chief Technology Officer at Quantum Silicon Inc. and as Principal Research Officer and Director of the Nano-Electronics Program at NRC Nanotechnology, roles held since 2014 and 2011 respectively. Additionally, Robert has been Director at Hitachi Electron Microscopy Product Development Centre since 2009. Prior experience includes leadership roles at the Steacie Institute for Molecular Sciences, adjunct professorships at McGill University and the University of Ottawa, and research positions at NRC and AT&T Bell Laboratories. Robert earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Toronto and a BS in Honours Applied Chemistry from the University of Waterloo.
