Régis Merlino has over 25 years of professional experience in software engineering and architecture. Régis began their career in 1994 as a Software Engineer at Telis Systèmes et Communications. In 1997, they moved to Inforama as a Software Engineer. In 1998, they were hired by Gemplus as a Software Architect, where they worked on the technical infrastructure and methodology required to develop and host Web Services. In 2004, they joined PalmSource as a Software Engineer, where they worked on the telephony and messaging stacks of the Palm OS. In 2006, they moved to Access as a Software Engineer, where they adapted the Access Linux Platform for Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) devices. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at Intel Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they were a main contributor to a Linux DLNA stack primarily targeted at in-vehicle infotainment and cable operators projects. In 2022, they began working at Quantum Surgical SAS as a Software Architect.
Régis Merlino attended the IUT Informatique de Nice from 1987 to 1989 and Ecole Supérieure en Sciences Informatiques de Nice-Sophia Antipolis from 1989 to 1992. Régis also holds a Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification from Microsoft, obtained in July 2021.
