Gowtham Kuppudurai has extensive work experience in the field of software and controls engineering.

Gowtham currently holds the position of Principal Software and Controls Engineer at QuantumScape, a role they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as a Senior Software and Controls Engineer from 2021 to 2023.

Gowtham also developed new SCADA screens and automated databases for report generation. Gowtham worked at Distinctive Controls from 2015 to 2016.

At Fresno State, they worked as an Instructional Student Assistant, where they supervised students in lab sessions, mentored senior projects, and tutored students in PBASIC programming. Prior to their university experience, Gowtham worked as an Engineering Intern at STEPS Knowledge Services. Here, they contributed to the design and selection of lighting sources and camera modules for an automated vision-based inspection and test system. Gowtham also designed and programmed the image processing module using LabVIEW.

Gowtham Kuppudurai earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their State board +2 education with a focus on Computer Science at Carmel Garden in 2008. Later, from 2013 to 2015, Gowtham pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering at California State University, Fresno. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical from Hagerman & Company in May 2023, LabVIEW Machine Vision Course from National Instruments in May 2011, and Object Oriented Programming Using C++ from NIIT Limited in April 2010.
