Grace Peterson

MTS Metrology Mechanical Engineer at QuantumScape

Grace Peterson has a diverse work history that includes roles in engineering, project management, and coaching. Grace is currently working at QuantumScape as an MTS Metrology Mechanical Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Ardica Technologies as a Mechanical Engineer, collaborating with senior engineers to design components and packaging for a fuel cell-battery hybrid power system. Grace also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the U.S. Ice Drilling Program, where they developed and maintained ice and rock drills for climate research in Antarctica. Grace is passionate about community development and served as a Project Manager for Engineers Without Borders, leading the implementation of a water distribution system in Uganda. Additionally, they coached high school rowing teams at Camp Randall Rowing Club.

Grace Peterson attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics and Astronautics. During the same period, they also pursued a Minor in Gender and Women's Studies. Currently, they are enrolled in the Graduate School at The University of Alabama, pursuing a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics.
