At the start of their career, Liz worked as a Customer Support Associate at Payless ShoeSource Worldwide, where they excelled in customer service, communication, and training.

Liz (Beller) Lainfiesta completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Kansas State University, starting in 1998 and concluding in 2003. Liz further pursued their education and obtained a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh in the period between 2009 and 2011. In addition to their academic achievements, Liz also holds a Public Librarian Certification for the State of North Carolina, which they obtained in October 2021, from the State of North Carolina.
