Owen Crawford-Lem is currently the Rector at Queen's University. Prior to this position, they served as the Partnership Associate at InStage from January 2022 to April 2022. Owen has also been involved with the Queen's Sustainability Conference, serving as Co-Chair from September 2020 to April 2022. In this role, they oversaw the day-to-day organizational culture of 5 directors and 15 general executive members, as well as guided 3 events with and ensured cooperation between speakers, sponsors, internal teams, and external delegates. Owen was also responsible for the yearly budget, ensuring financial stability in future years. Prior to their involvement with the Queen's Sustainability Conference, they served as the Business Development Intern at RBC from July 2020 to August 2020. In this role, they oversaw a sales pipeline with over 1000 leads weekly, creating email and phone campaigns, driving revenue and overall investments. They also successfully coordinated “Wealth Management Strategies for Dentists and Business Owners” seminar resulting in new client opportunities. Owen has also held positions as a Program Animator at Evergreen Canada from December 2019 to March 2020, and as an Industry Relations Coordinator at Arts and Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS) from September 2019 to April 2021.
Owen Crawford-Lem has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies & Sociology from Queen's University, a Smith Certificate in Business from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, and an Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Rosedale Heights School of the Arts.
They work with Donna Janiec - Vice-Principal Finance and Administration, Nancy Ross - Vice-Principal Research, and Patrick Deane - Principal and Vice-Chancellor. Their manager is Murray Sinclair, Chancellor.
