Alison Ward

External Assessment Marker - Legal Studies at Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA)

Alison Ward is an experienced educator and legal professional currently serving as a Committee Member for the Business Educators' Association of Queensland and a member of the Teacher Advisory Group for Queensland Parliament, both since February 2024. As the Head of Faculty for Global Studies at St Margaret's Anglican Girls School since October 2022, Alison oversees educational programs while also working as an external assessment marker for the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority in Legal Studies. Previous roles include Middle Leader positions at Mount Alvernia College, where Alison contributed to student and staff leadership, as well as serving as a teacher of various subjects. Alison's legal background includes significant experience as In-House Legal Counsel at Insight Group Pty Ltd and senior roles at Norton Rose Solicitors and Brisbane City Council. Alison holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Educational Leadership from Australian Catholic University, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Griffith University.
