Dan Michael has a strong background in education and leadership roles. Dan started their career in 2010 as the Head of Department (Health and Physical Education) at the Department of Education and Training in Queensland. Dan then joined the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) in 2011, where they held various positions including Principal Education Officer (Physical Education), District Review Panel Chair - Physical Education, and External Assessment Officer - Physical Education. In 2019, they joined the Queensland Department of Education as the Deputy Principal and later became the Head of Department, Health and Physical Education.
Dan Michael obtained a Bachelor of Education - BEd degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Griffith University. Dan attended from 1998 to 2001.
