Jani Virtala has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Jani began their career as a summer intern at Gasum Oy in 2006, where they handled desktop support tasks and development with ASP.NET and SQL. Jani then worked as an analyst at Capgemini, providing desktop support and solving computer-related issues for clients.

In 2008, Jani joined Helsingin Energia as a technical trainee, focusing on developing internal business web applications using ASP.NET and SQL Server. Jani eventually became a software developer, managing Helsingin Energia's Microsoft BizTalk Server environment and developing BizTalk applications, as well as upgrading applications from classic ASP to ASP.NET.

Following their time at Helsingin Energia, Jani worked at HiQ Finland as an integration consultant, designing and developing integration and BI solutions for clients in the energy industry. Jani primarily utilized Microsoft BizTalk Server and also did web development with ASP.NET MVC.

In 2013, Jani joined Integround, a growing startup, as a lead developer. Jani played a vital role in building Integround, a Microsoft Azure-based cloud integration platform, planning and developing new features that facilitated easy application connectivity. Jani also participated in various tasks, such as WordPress tweaking and marketing planning.

Jani co-founded NordSafety in 2014, which was later acquired by Quentic. As the CTO of NordSafety, they managed product development, executed IT tasks, and designed features until November 2017.

Currently, Jani is serving as the Head of Mobile Technology at Quentic since November 2017, where they oversee the mobile-focused product development based in Helsinki, ensuring the smooth functioning of mobile side operations for Quentic.

From 2005 to 2011, Jani Virtala attended HAAGA-HELIA, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology.
