Joe Campo

Joe Campo has extensive experience in engineering and robotics. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Teaching Assistant, MakerSpace Admin, and Research Assistant at Columbia University in the City of New York, where they were responsible for teaching introductory robotics and digital logic courses, maintaining a student workshop, and designing, manufacturing, assembling, and programming robotic devices. In 2015, they also became the Suspension, Hub, and Upright Lead Engineer at Columbia University Formula SAE - Knickerbocker Motorsports, where they designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested a Formula SAE racecar. From 2016 to 2022, Joe worked as a Robotics Engineer at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, where they focused on algorithm development, system design, and controls for GEO satellite systems, and was the lead engineer of all space vehicle firmware and software for the current program. Joe is currently employed as a System Engineer at QuEra Computing Inc., where they are designing and building neutral atom quantum computers and working with physicists and quantum algorithm researchers to develop an industry-grade quantum hardware and computation services stack.

Joe Campo attended Columbia University in the City of New York from 2014 to 2018 where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
