Software Dev Principal Engineer at Quest

Aleksandr Stepanoff has extensive work experience in software development and management roles. Aleksandr began their career in 2000 as a Software Developer at Software Testing Lab, where they contributed to the development of enterprise systems. Aleksandr then worked at Motorola as a Software Developer, focusing on game development for mobile devices. In 2002, they joined Aelita Software as a Software Developer Lead, where they worked on an enterprise solution for email data migration.

In 2005, Stepanoff joined Quest Software as a Project Manager, leading the development and release of multiple software versions. Aleksandr later became a Senior Manager, overseeing software development teams and managing hiring and workforce development.

From 2005 to 2016, Stepanoff also served as a Lecturer at Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI", where they shared their expertise with students.

In 2014, Stepanoff joined Dell as a Software Dev Principal Engineer, contributing to technical research and development projects in the Windows Management area.

Since 2016, they have been working at Quest Software again as a Software Dev Principal Engineer, focusing on team mentoring, software design, architecture, and technical research for multiple projects in the Platform Management area.

Throughout their career, Stepanoff has acquired skills in various programming languages and technologies, including C++, C#, PowerShell, Java, J2EE, and more. Aleksandr has worked on projects involving Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Microsoft Office365, among others.

Aleksandr Stepanoff earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" between the years 2002 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the same institution, completed from 1996 to 2002. In addition to their degrees, Aleksandr Stepanoff has also obtained certifications in "Verified International Academic Qualifications" from World Education Services in 2023 and "Programming Foundations: Secure Coding" from LinkedIn in 2020.
