Tray Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology and engineering sectors. Starting in 2007, Tray worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon, where they contributed to the design and manufacturing of an airborne radar system. Tray then joined Smartfield in 2009 as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed products utilizing infrared thermometry and later served as the Director of Engineering. At Smartfield, Tray directed design efforts to develop a unique precision agriculture system, incorporating concepts from mechanical system design, heat transfer, computer vision, and optical system design. In 2018, Tray joined Madera Residential as the Director of Engineering, responsible for engineering operations. Presently, Tray works as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Quext, a position they assumed in June 2022, following their previous role as the VP of Innovation from April 2018. Tray's career trajectory showcases their expertise in engineering, leadership, and innovation.
