After that, they worked as a Child Center Supervisor at Lifetime Fitness, where they supervised and cared for children and organized various activities. In 2009, they undertook an internship at Older Person's Commission, where they shadowed activities at the Crittenton Cardiac Rehab Center and provided customer service and instruction to improve cardiovascular health.

Daniel then joined Beaumont Hospital as a Reference Lab Courier, responsible for transporting specimens and reports for laboratory analysis. During their time there, they developed skills in customer service, communication, and knowledge of laboratory procedures.
