David Whelan

David Whelan has accumulated extensive work experience in the healthcare investment and entrepreneurship sector. In 2016, they served as the Managing General Partner at Oxeon Venture Studio, where they played a key role in designing and incubating healthcare companies. David continued this work until December 2021.

In 2017, Whelan joined Risalto Health as a Founding Board of Directors member and investor. David'sinvolvement lasted until July 2022.

Starting in 2017, Whelan acted as an Adviser and Investor at Cityblock Health, a role they still hold. David became an integral part of the company's advisory team and investment initiatives.

Whelan's journey as a co-founder, board director, and investor began with Strive Health in January 2018 and Town Hall Ventures in May 2018, respectively. These ventures focused on improving healthcare outcomes for vulnerable populations.

In 2019, Whelan co-founded and became the Chairman of Eleanor Health, aimed at delivering comprehensive care for substance use disorder and mental health needs. That same year, they also co-founded Quilted Health, where they served as a board director and investor. Quilted Health strove to provide equitable access to whole-person pregnancy care.

More recently, in 2021, Whelan expanded their involvement in the healthcare industry. David became a co-founder, board member, and investor at Empassion Health, focusing on enhancing care for patients and families facing advanced illness. Additionally, they took on similar roles at Suvida Healthcare, which aims to improve patient care through innovation. Finally, Whelan became a member of the Board of Directors and investor at Concert Health, further contributing to the advancement of value-based care programs.

David Whelan obtained their BCom, LLB Hons degree in Law and Commerce from Bond University between 1992 and 1995.
