Emilie VanderLaan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emilie began their career at Brookstone, where they worked as a Sales Associate and later as an Assistant Manager, responsible for monetary transactions, daily store management, and opening and closing the business. Emilie then gained valuable experience at Walt Disney World as a Guest Services College Program Intern, providing high-level service to guests from diverse cultures. Emilie then moved on to Mission Point Resort as a Wedding & Social Events Intern, where they navigated the unique challenges of running a business on an island and planning events with additional constraints. Emilie further honed their event management skills at Wings Event Center, first as a Special Events and Promotions Intern, then as a Special Events Coordinator, and finally as a Special Events Manager. At Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, they served as an Area Marketing Manager, focusing on events and ticketing at Carowinds. Currently, Emilie is working at Quint, where they have held various roles including Event Coordinator, Event Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Director of Operations, and currently as Vice President of Operations.
Emilie VanderLaan received their Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University in 2014. Emilie has also obtained several certifications including Crowd Management Training from Fire Marshall Support Services in 2016, Training for Intervention Procedures from TIPS in 2015, Cvent Certified in 2013, and ServSafe from the National Restaurant Association in 2012.
