Lajos Nagy

Lajos Nagy has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to 2022. Lajos started their career as a System Administrator at Petofi Sandor Gepeszeti Szakkozepiskola, where they managed 300 computers, server background, and networking requirements. Lajos then worked as a Customer Support Representative at Telenor Hungary Plc, handling calls from customers and resolving cell-phone and network-related issues. As a Freelancer, Lajos operated various blogs and sites, primarily focusing on writing, editing, and marketing, including SEO tasks. Lajos joined IRIS Software as an Associate Quality Assurance Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Operations Engineer, where they supported the server infrastructure for software engineers using virtualized environments and tools like Salt, Packer, and Bamboo. Later, Lajos worked as a Cloud Engineer at Worldpay, FIS, and finally as a Principal Cloud Engineer at FIS. In their current position, they are a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Quix.

Lajos Nagy attended Gábor Dénes Műszaki Szakközépiskola from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Grade A degree in Information Technology. In addition to their formal education, Lajos obtained several certifications. In July 2005, they received the European Computer Driving License from John von Neumann Computer Society, ECDL Hungary. Then, in June 2006, they obtained a System Administration certification from the National Catalog of Courses - Hungary, which is equivalent to NVQ4. More recently, in March 2020, Lajos obtained an AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
