Emma Waite de Kalaf

Emma Waite de Kalaf is an experienced leader in the field of product development and biomanufacturing, currently serving as the Department Leader for Alba Product Development at AliveDx since September 2023. Prior to this role, Emma held key positions including Chief Technical Officer at Arquer Diagnostics and Global Programme Manager at LumiraDx, where project management across respiratory and infectious disease sectors was a primary focus. Emma's extensive background also includes significant contributions as Product Development Manager at Quotient Biodiagnostics and Laboratory Manager at Gen Probe. Additionally, Emma has developed new processes for immunoglobulin production as a Senior Development Scientist at the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service and held a postdoctoral position at Moredun Research Institute. Emma earned a PhD in Biochemistry in Forensics/Archaeology from Newcastle University.
