Sami Nykänen

Sami Nykänen has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sami began their career as a Consultant at Starnet Systems Oy / Qvantel Innovations Oy, where they managed customer requirements and attended technical planning sessions. Sami later became a Key Account Manager at the same company, handling contracts, offers, customer communication, and meetings related to Telecom Business Support Systems. After that, they worked as an Operations Manager, leading teams providing BSS as a service for a Telecom operator. In this role, they were responsible for overall accountability of service operations, recruiting, internal agreements, coordinating external contractors, and development discussions. Sami then transitioned to the position of Program Manager, where they continued to contribute to the success of the company. Prior to their time at Qvantel, Sami was involved with Marako-Metall Oy as a shareholder and entrepreneur. There, they served as a Quality Manager and NC Programmer, focusing on CAD design, NC & CNC machines programming, and implementing lean manufacturing processes and programming procedures.
