John Kerr has over 30 years of work experience, starting as a Sales Representative at Armstrong World Industries in 1983. Later, they worked at The Weightman Group, initially as an Assistant Account Executive and eventually progressing to the role of Vice President, Team Account Director. In 1995, they joined Lieberman-Appalucci as Vice President, Account Director.
In 1997, Kerr joined Just Born, Inc. as Group Product Manager, where they rebranded marshmallow products under the PEEPS brand. John also led the development of the first PEEPS website and television advertising campaign. Kerr held various director-level positions at Just Born, including Director of Marketing, Director, and Director of Market Services.
From 2014 to 2015, Kerr worked as an Independent Marketing and Business Development Executive before joining RM Palmer Company as the Director of Marketing. In this role, they lead all marketing functions for the company, which is one of the top 75 confectioners in the world.
Throughout their career, Kerr has focused on strategic planning, budgeting, sales forecasting, market insights, and cross-functional team leadership. John has received awards for their team leadership and has experience in retail, trade marketing, advertising, brand licensing, and new business integration.
John Kerr received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature from Trinity College-Hartford, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. In addition, they obtained a certification in Financial Management from eCornell in October 2014.
