Caroline Melear

Caroline Melear is a finance professional currently serving as a Fellow in Finance, Insurance & Trade at the R Street Institute since May 2022. Previous experience includes a role as a Writer at The Daily Caller from April 2021 to April 2022 and as an Investment Research Analyst at Grace Family Office from October 2015 to March 2020, focusing on private equity and venture capital while passing CFA Level I in December 2018. Caroline held several positions at Boomtown CIO including Operations Manager, managing client projects and IT support from June 2013 to July 2015. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Senate President at Florida State University, overseeing a $12 million budget, and involvement in the Executive Office of the Governor as an intern. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Computer Science from Florida State University.
