Thomas Becker

Thomas Becker has an extensive work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Thomas started their career in 1991 as a Sales Analyst at BASF Coatings Ltd and later became the Divisional Controller OEM. In 1997, they joined Akzo Nobel Decorative Coatings as a Controller Produktion, where they were responsible for production cost analysis and management reporting.

From 2000 to 2002, Thomas worked at Sabre Holdings as a European Financial Accountant, handling financial accounting and reporting for entities in Germany and Scandinavia. Thomas then joined Rohm and Haas as a European Reporting Accountant, supporting the implementation of SAP and improving accounts reconciliation processes.

In 2003, Thomas became the Chief Accountant German Language Region at Getty Images, managing the general ledger and reporting under US GAAP. Thomas later joined GE Commercial Finance as a Financial Controller, where they had responsibilities for financial controllership, compliance, and reporting.

In 2007, Thomas started working at CLS Holdings plc as a Financial Controller Germany, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the German portfolio. Thomas then moved to NSC Global, where they held various roles including Financial Controller EMEA & APAC, Head of Reporting and Automation, and Group Controller.

Currently, Thomas is the Finance Director UK at r2p Group, a technology solutions provider for the passenger transport industry. In this role, they are responsible for the finance operation in the UK, including accounting, reporting, payroll, treasury, and systems management using Salesforce and SAGE.

Thomas Becker has a diverse education history. Thomas first attended the ACCA from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Chartered Certified Accountant degree. Prior to that, they studied at the Fachhochschule Osnabrück from 1986 to 1990, earning a Diplom-Kaufmann degree in European Business Studies. In 1988, Thomas participated in an Erasmus-Exchange program at Buckinghamshire New University, although no specific degree was mentioned. Thomas has also obtained additional certifications throughout their career. In 2003, they achieved the FCCA certification from the ACCA, and in 2018, they obtained the Prince2 certification from PeopleCert.
