Allan Cannon has a diverse work experience history. Allan is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Krucial, a company they started in 2018. Allan also serves as a Board Member at CodeClan since November 2020. In addition, Allan is a Strathclyde Inspire Supporter at the University of Strathclyde, starting from January 2020.
Before their current roles, Allan was the Director of AC Space Ltd from July 2018 to October 2020. Prior to that, they worked at AAC Clyde Space, starting as the Systems Engineering Manager in July 2016 and later becoming the Head of Missions in June 2017 until July 2018. At AAC Clyde Space, Allan led various missions and played a crucial role in spacecraft operations, design, and mission analysis.
Earlier in their career, Allan worked at MBDA, where they held multiple positions. Allan served as a Principal Engineer - Project Lead from December 2013 to June 2016, leading a challenging trials campaign for the MoD. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Engineer and a Principal Engineer - Technical Lead, where they successfully completed a technical feasibility project and was recognized with an MBDA Business Award.
Allan's work experience also includes being a Masters Placement Student at TMD Technologies Ltd in 2005 and a Summer Placement Student at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2003.
Allan Cannon completed a Startup Mentor Accelerator Programme in the Space Stream at the Creative Destruction Lab from 2020 to 2021. Before that, from 2018 to 2019, they attended Strathclyde Business School and obtained a degree called iGAP in the field of Business. Allan also pursued an Engineering Doctorate at the University of Bristol from 2009 to 2011, although it is noted as being part complete. Prior to that, they completed an MSc in High Power RF Science and Engineering at the University of Strathclyde from 2004 to 2005. Allan's earliest educational attainment is a BSc in Physics, which they completed at the University of Strathclyde from 1999 to 2004.
