Leon Theelen

Leon Theelen possesses extensive experience in archaeology, currently serving as a Findsmanager at both RAAP since May 2022 and the Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut Rome since May 2023, focusing on the excavation of a Roman villa at the ancient site of Satricum. Previously, Leon held the position of Findsmanager at the Universiteit van Amsterdam from July 2020 to August 2022 and has worked in various roles, including Archaeologist at Laagland archeologie BV and Vriens Archeo Flex BV, where numerous archaeological assessments and prospections were conducted. Education includes a Master's degree in Mediterranean Archaeology from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Classical Archaeology from Leiden University.
