Darris Nichols

Darris Nichols has established a notable career in basketball coaching and player development, currently serving as the Men's Basketball Head Coach at Radford University since April 2021, where Darris led the team to a 21-15 record in the 2022-23 season, marking significant program achievements. Prior to Radford, Nichols was an assistant coach at the University of Florida from 2015 to 2021, coaching future NBA talents and earning recognition as the Top Assistant in the SEC. Their previous coaching roles include assistant positions at Louisiana Tech University, Wofford College, Northern Kentucky University, and West Virginia University, where Darris contributed to multiple successful seasons and postseason appearances. Nichols is also a former player at West Virginia University, where Darris had a distinguished collegiate career that included an appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16. Nichols holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from West Virginia University.
