Kate McGarrity

Kate McGarrity, PMP, is the Director of Award Programs at the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) since May 2016, where responsibilities include managing a large volunteer network to evaluate thousands of award entries and updating award programs to align with industry changes. Previously, Kate worked as the Awards and Programs Manager at RTDNA, overseeing the Edward R. Murrow awards. Kate's experience also includes roles such as Program Associate at Solar Household Energy, Development and Executive Associate at Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, and various internships that focused on communications, international trade analysis, and non-profit development. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Studies from American University.
