Aaron Harkness

Aaron Harkness has a diverse work experience in the field of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning). Aaron is currently working as a Product Manager for ZeroCool at RAE Corporation, where they are responsible for driving the product vision for indoor agricultural HVACD equipment. This includes designing, developing, manufacturing, and implementing specialized equipment that gathers data and provides analytics for room and equipment performance in indoor agricultural operations.

Prior to joining RAE Corporation, Aaron worked at Associated Air Products, Inc. as the Director of Operations/Technical Services. In this role, they oversaw and assisted in the design and implementation of custom HVAC/R projects, including customized control sequences and in-house built control panels. Aaron also managed the service team for commissioning, start-up, and service activities, and resolved construction-related conflicts.

Before their role at Associated Air Products, Aaron started their own company, Sensible Heating and Cooling, in 2009. Under their leadership as President, the company quickly gained recognition in the commercial HVAC market. They successfully completed projects for well-known companies such as Dicks Sporting Goods, Coach, Yankee Candle, Verizon, Wing Stop, and Pepperjax Grill. As their final project, they completed a large assisted living facility with 122 apartments, featuring advanced technology from LG, Reznor, and First Co.

Aaron Harkness pursued their education from 2007 to 2009 at Johnson County Community College. During this time, they completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Technician (HAC, HACR, HVAC, HVACR).
