Railway Children exists for children at risk of abuse and exploitation on streets and at transport hubs. 
Having run away or been forced to leave homes filled with poverty, violence, abuse or neglect, these children find themselves on the streets because there is nowhere else to go and no one left to turn to. But the problems they face on the streets are often far worse than what they have left behind. 
Every day, across the UK, India and Tanzania, we aim to reach vulnerable children as soon as they arrive on the streets, before they come to harm. 
After meeting their immediate needs, we then work with children to change their stories – providing the support they and their families need for as long as it takes to build the brighter future they deserve.
