Ahmed Samra

Ahmed Samra has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ahmed is currently serving as the Head of Strategic Communications and Policy Research at Rain since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Policy Research & Strategic Communications Manager at Rain from December 2021 to May 2023. Ahmed has also worked at Wild Guanabana as a Product Development Manager & Special Projects Consultant since September 2017. Ahmed served as a Senior Analyst & Digital Product Officer at Inktank Communications from July 2019 to December 2021. Ahmed's previous roles include being a Senior Research Editor at CI Capital Holding from December 2016 to November 2017, a Senior Researcher and Editor at The Regional Center for Strategic Studies - Cairo from September 2013 to September 2016, a Consultant (MENA academic network editor) at Transparency International from June 2013 to December 2013, an Intern (External Relations and International Cooperation) at Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization - CTBTO from November 2012 to June 2013, a Research Assistant at Al-Ahram Establishment - Center for Political and Strategic Studies from June 2010 to December 2010, an Associate at Wild Guanabana from September 2009 to June 2010, and a Research Assistant at the House of Commons from June 2008 to August 2008.

Ahmed Samra holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs from The American University in Cairo, which they obtained from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a focus on International Relations and Middle East Studies from the same university, studying between 2005 and 2009.
