Eyal Hochberg is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in chip design and hardware architecture. Currently serving as Principal Chip Design Engineer at Rain since October 2023, Eyal previously held the position of Principal Engineer at Qualcomm, focusing on emulator development. At Samsung Semiconductor from February 2017 to August 2020, Eyal invented and implemented innovative solutions for machine learning acceleration on the edge, particularly in face detection algorithms. Eyal's earlier roles include Design Automation Manager at Mellanox Technologies, where responsibilities included productization of RobustVerilog and front-end tool management, and ownership of Provartec, a company that developed two major product lines. Eyal's career began as a Senior ASIC Engineer at Zoran, with a strong foundation in front-end design and architecture, along with experience in verification engineering at Mellanox. Eyal holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
