Skylar Barrera

Skylar Barrera is an engineer at Rainbow. Skylar previously worked as a software development intern at Proof of Impact from March 2020 to June 2020, where they assisted in front-end and back-end development of consumer facing features, implemented filter and search functionality, and built out an admin panel for internal use. Skylar also collaborated in the planning and migration to microservices using Molecular and Docker. From December 2019 to September 2020, Skylar worked as a paralegal and tech consultant at The Barrera Law Firm, PLLC, where they administered the company-wide remote infrastructure, migrated data & systems to Azure, digitized numerous business activities, and led employee training focused on new cloud systems & business processes. Skylar has also held positions as a service design & lead developer at Ferguson Enterprises from June 2019 to August 2019, a web development & administrative intern at MacPaint, Ltd from March 2017 to November 2017, and an IT specialist at William & Mary IT Department from July 2016 to December 2018. Prior to their career in technology, Skylar worked as a lead server at Belle Haven Country Club from May 2016 to August 2016.

Skylar Barrera has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from William & Mary. They also have a Management & Organizational Leadership Minor from William & Mary's Raymond A. Mason School of Business.
