Kari Hirvi

Kari Hirvi has extensive work experience in software engineering and systems engineering. Kari started their career as a Design Engineer at Elesco Oy in 2002 and worked there until 2006. Kari then joined TietoSaab Systems Oy as a Systems Engineer and worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2008, Kari worked as a Senior Systems Analyst at Exens Development Oy. Kari then joined Saab Systems Oy and worked as a Systems Engineer from 2008 to 2009, and as a Systems Engineer (not IT) from 2009 to 2010.

In 2011, Kari joined 10Duke Software, Ltd. as a Senior Software Architect and worked there until 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they worked at MultiTouch Ltd as a Software Developer and later as a Support Manager. Kari'sresponsibilities included managing customer support, developing support processes, and developing Python code for support statistics.

In 2014, Kari joined Zenniz as a Senior Software Specialist, where they worked as a SW architect and lead C++ developer for Zenniz Tracker. Kari extensively used Qt and implemented various design patterns in their work. From 2017 to 2018, Kari worked at Solaforce Oy as a Senior Software Engineer, where they built a next-generation HCM solution using Scala, Slick, Play, and PostgreSQL.

Kari's most recent position, starting in 2018, is at Zenniz - the most accurate automatic line calling system. Kari held the role of Lead Architect, responsible for the architectural design of the system. In 2022, Kari joined Rakettitiede as a Senior Software Engineer.

Kari Hirvi completed their education at various institutions. Kari obtained a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Jyväskylä, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they also earned an MSc in Physics from the same university, studying from 1990 to 1994. Furthermore, their educational background includes attending Kesämäen lukio, although the specific period and field of study at this school are not provided.
