Sam Wu

Sam Wu is the current CEO at Rakuten Viki. Prior to this, they were with Rakuten from March 2012 to February 2014 as part of the Global Integration Office in the Global Business Division. There, they directed the company's post merger integration of overseas subsidiaries. Before that, Sam was with projet JAPON Inc. from March 2007 to February 2012 as their Executive Director and Chief Producer. There, they managed the start-up of an independent firm specializing in crowdfunding-based real estate development which also delivered a full range of project management services. Sam has also worked as a Construction Manager for Takenaka Corporation from April 2000 to March 2001 and as a Team Lead and Producer for Archinet Inc. from August 2003 to February 2007. In addition, they have experience in project planning and project management from their time with Recruit Cosmos from April 1999 to March 2003.

Sam Wu graduated with a BA in Architecture from Waseda University. Sam then went on to study at the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Arizona State University.
