Vijay Gupta

Vijay Gupta has over 20 years of work experience in finance and management. Vijay started their career as a Financial Controller at Sona Breweries Plc, where they successfully set up control systems and improved turnover. Vijay then worked as the General Manager of Finance and Accounts at Indian Arts and Crafts Syndicate before moving on to become the Assistant General Manager of Accounts and Finance at Shahi Exports Pvt Ltd. At Shahi Exports, they played a key role in implementing a windmill project and securing approval for carbon credits.

Vijay then worked as the Financial Controller at Tulip Cocoa Processing Limited before joining Capgemini as a Manager. At Capgemini, they were responsible for budgeting, financial planning and analysis, and coordinated with IT to automate processes.

After that, Vijay served as the Group General Manager of Finance and Budget at Hind Agro Industries Limited and the GM Commercial at Quantum Peak International Limited, where they undertook budget exercises and networked with banks and financial institutions.

Prior to their current roles, Vijay was the Chief General Manager of Finance at the Shahnaz Husain Group, where they headed overall organizational finance and accounts and created new revenue channels through e-commerce and digital marketing strategies.

Currently, Vijay is working as the Vice President of Finance at Rally OurBus and as a Principal Consultant at AIM Shared Services.

Vijay Gupta has a diverse education history starting from their secondary education. Vijay attended Vani Bharati Secondary School from 1974 to 1979, where they studied subjects like Maths, Science, Accounting, English, Hindi, and Social Studies.

After completing their secondary education, Vijay Gupta went to Ramjas School No. V, Karol Bag from 1979 to 1983 for their senior secondary education. During this time, they focused on subjects like Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Maths, and English.

In 1981, Vijay enrolled in St. Xavier's College, where they pursued a B. Com Hons. degree from 1981 to 1984. Here, they studied various subjects related to Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Finance Management, among others.

Following their bachelor's degree, Vijay Gupta joined The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1982 to 1985. During this period, they obtained their FCA degree and gained knowledge in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Finance Management.

To further enhance their skills, in 1998, Vijay attended Oracle Software India Limited and completed a Masters in Oracle Financial implementation. This program allowed him to specialize in areas such as Financial Accounting (FA), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Workflow, System Administration, and Consolidation.

In 2008, Vijay Gupta pursued a SAP FICO certification from SAP Germany, specializing in areas like General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Controlling.

In 2014, Vijay obtained a Diploma in IFRS from ACCA UK, focusing on International Financial Reporting Standards.

Additionally, Vijay Gupta holds additional certifications in SAP FICO, Oracle Financials, and IFRS, which they obtained in New Delhi in September 1998.
